Pay Range: $81.00 $88.00 per hour, based on experience and internal equity

Schedule: Full-time, contract; long-term multi-year opportunity

Title: Senior Data Architect

We re hiring a highly experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the design, governance, and implementation of modern data systems across enterprise platforms. This role is ideal for a seasoned architect with a deep understanding of data modeling, security, governance, and emerging cloud technologies. You ll work closely with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and analytics experts to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures.

Daily Tasks Performed:

• Translate high-level business requirements into data models, metadata structures, and test data sets
• Define and uphold data quality standards, governance practices, and architecture guidelines
• Engage senior business stakeholders to align project goals with strategic roadmaps
• Lead peer reviews and quality assurance for architectural deliverables
• Collaborate with IT, business analysts, and data teams to deliver consumer-focused solutions
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies in data management, storage, and analytics

What You ll Be Working On:

• Designing data protection solutions across storage, compute, and consumption layers
• Implementing data confidentiality, security, and compliance controls at the database, table, and column levels
• Architecting enterprise-grade data systems: databases, data lakes, and warehouses
• Selecting and deploying database management systems tailored to organizational needs
• Enhancing data pipeline performance and governance standards

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 13+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise data modeling using tools like Erwin
• Strong experience in cloud data architecture, including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time processing
• Proficient in technologies such as AWS, Kinesis, Kafka, Dataflow, Redshift, Snowflake, and Databricks
• Knowledge of database platforms like DB2, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Couchbase
• Skilled in entity-relationship modeling, data security, metadata management, and quality frameworks
• Able to design both traditional relational and modern big-data architectures
• Experience with BI tools such as Informatica, Power BI, and Tableau
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 4+ years of Big 4 consulting experience
• Stable work history with large enterprise organizations
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence technical decision-making
• Master s degree or certifications in data architecture or cloud technologies (preferred)
